With over 30 years of practical experience, he has worked in Mine Geotechnical Engineering across medium to large scale mining industries in Indonesia and West Africa. Throughout his career, he has held roles ranging from Engineer to Manager, primarily leading and managing mine geotechnical engineering issues. These include dealing with slope design parameter provision, ensuring stability of mine geometry (such as pit walls, waste dumps, and associated vital infrastructures), monitoring for design performance and safety, identifying potential problem areas, providing dewatering requirements, developing an integrated slope monitoring system, and formulating and continuously improving site-specific Ground Control Management Plans.
